Old Croton Aqueduct TourThe Old Croton Aqueduct, now pretty much forgotten, was one of the great engineering achievements of its day that brought fresh water into Manhattan. Today the old aqueduct
right-of-way has been turned into one of the longest and skinniest public parks in the world.
The park offers a delightfully undemanding route through what once was and remains one
of the country's most fashionable suburbs.

The tour starts at Croton Gorge Park where you will see the dam and the beautiful water fall
flowing down from the reservoir. We will start the day off by reviewing the basic mechanics
of a mountain bike and the skills that are necessary to safely ride off road. The ride will start
with a short climb up a gradually sloped fire road.  Once at the top we will enter the Old
Croton Aqueduct Trail.  The trail is a flat smooth dirt surface with very little rocks or roots.  A
couple of points during the ride you will encounter slight elevation changes, but the rest of
the ride will be relaxing and enjoyable as you take in the beautiful scenery.  The riding will be
done mostly off road with short rides on the road to connect the trail.

Blue Mountain Tour Blue Mountain has become one of the most popular places to ride because of its many miles of challenging single track. This 1,600 acre Westchester County Park has trails specifically
constructed for mountain biking. Along the way, the trails offer a variety of challenges such
as rocks, roots, stream crossings, and a number of elevation changes. You can also make
your way up to two peeks (Mt. Spitzenberg and Blue Mountain) both with great views of the
Hudson River. The group will meet at Blue Mountain Reservation in Peekskill, NY. The day
will start with a review of basic skills and techniques.  The instructors will offer tips to help
the riders safely navigate the trails. The tour will start with a short warm up on the fire
road/double track and then off to ride some   great single track.  The route of the tour will
be determined based on the riders’ abilities and interest.
Participants must have riding
experience on technical trails and single track.
